“A short trail with steep grades near the Sunspot Observatory descending to West Side Road.”
— Eric Borer
Features: Views — Wildlife
Steep and rocky grades and 1,300+ elevation change in 1.6 miles makes for a tough run no matter which way you take this one.
From the upper trailhead, the path descends into the canyon on steep grades. At 0.9mi the trail meets T234A (an alternate route down the West Side Rd) and follows a ridge to the lower TH on West Side Rd.
