A good trail run. The trail can be wet in places.

This trail offers a shorter version of the Yellow Trail with the same great run through the Tall Grass Prairie. Along this flat trail, there are many bugs, birds, and little rodents scurrying along underfoot. The Red Trail winds its way around the prairie for 0.6 miles and takes you by the Prairie-Dock Shelter, which is accessible by the parking lot. The shelter is an awesome spot for lunch or a quick snack. This is an easy trail that allows you to stretch your legs and enjoy the openness of Possum Creek's Tall Grass Prairie.

Lots of flowers in spring and summer. There are lots of birds living in the prairie.
