The park is located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain, and it is one of the largest and most scenic parks in Georgia. Highlights of the park include thousand-foot deep canyons, sandstone cliffs, wild caves, waterfalls, cascading creeks, and dense woodland. For more information, visit the park's website

Need to Know
The West Rim Trail is EXTREMELY rocky and technical. There are approximately eight miles of trails for this event. There will be one aid station at mile 6 - Sitton's Gulch trailhead.
It could be very cold. Dress accordingly!
This race course is STUNNING!
There will be no leaves on the trees to obstruct long views of two states (AL and TN) from the ridges.
The course includes three large waterfalls and numerous canyon views. Sitton's Gulch Trail is a favorite, with giant boulders, a beautiful cascading creek, and moss-covered rocks lining the gulch.
There will be one aid station for runners at mile 6.
Flora & Fauna
The event is held near the end of the winter season. There will be leaves on the trails but the trees will be bare.
