The School Loop starts at the trail kiosk near the main parking area of Anne Springs Close Greenway. It is the main trail of the system connecting to both Sugar Loop
and Prairie Loop
and has the most technical terrain Anne Springs has to offer. Along the way, runners can expect steeper hills than the other trails provide and many tough rooty sections. Though this route is mapped counter clockwise here, feel free to take this one in any direction that you'd like. The shady path will have you feeling like you're miles from civilization, even though you'll be quite close to development. The trail weaves and winds through the woods, providing ample places to stop to appreciate your surroundings. Be aware that you may need to cross a creek, and a few ladder bridges help out on some of the more technical aspects.
If you're looking for a longer outing in the area, this route has it all! There are a few places where you can duck out if the full loop is too much, or you can continue your journey on the Sugar Loop
