Not really. You kind of have to park on the road to the south and bushwhack in.
This is the hardest hike we could find. Bring at least 3 L of water and lunch/snacks. We are experienced hikers and it took us almost 4 hours to complete working hard. There is a general path that others have taken, but there are a million ways to get up the mountain.
Once you reach the top, head northwest as must as possible (recommended you download the GPX). We tried to down climb several ways to get back to the start point (tried this four times now) and haven't found a good way down. So its best to just not follow that western excursion on the map around midway (you can see we turned back) and just continue northing until you reach the regular El Cajon trail. Take two cars if you can. First time we did this we had to take a taxi back.
Disclaimer: VERY hard hike. NOT for beginners.

Too busy just trying to survive to notice anything else.
