This is a marathon (plus) loop in Shenandoah National Park. Follows the "Vicki's Death March" route created by the Virginia Happy Trails Running Club (VHTRC). I had a member of the club accompany me on this run. It is a great way to see everything Shenandoah has to offer - waterfalls, streams, forest, mountains, and beyond!
Features: Birding — Fall Colors — River/Creek — Views — Waterfall — Wildlife
Be careful to watch for trail signs.
An almost exclusively singletrack-based run. Many of the features of Shenandoah National Park are experienced during the run. The route reaches the highest point in Shenandoah National Park - Hawksbill Summit. The trails are well marked, and you'll enjoy the best that Shenandoah has to offer from waterfalls and streams to mountains and forests.
