Features Views

Open April through May as snow conditions allow.

Runner Notes

Mixed tread as portions of the trail are along boardwalks.

Description

This brief trail displays several signs with excerpts from members of the Donner Party describing the event in winter 1846-47 that left nearly half of the pioneer party dead. While the various displays offer interesting information on the trials the pioneers faced, the story of the Donner Party has a grisly end, so parents may want to use their discretion.
