Description

This was my first trailrun, so it's hard to compare how difficult it was. I run marathon in 3:45. This 14km I ran in 2:50. I ran maybe a bit more than half of it. In the start there's going up the mountain, so it was not really runnable at least for me. Nicest part is few km after this until the end of Besseggen ridge. At about the middle of the route there's a last place for fresh water. After besseggen there's some easy climbing to be done. There were even dogs and children going the route, but for the people who're afraid of heights it might be a problem. The second ascencion leads to the highest point, some 1700m and from this point it's runnable until the end downhill. There are a lot loose rocks on the route and it was a bit scary for the firsttimer. Luckily I made it. The feeling was ecstatic. There's also a place with proper fatty hamburgers back in Gjendesheim. :)

Flora & Fauna

I bumped in to a herd of raindeers.
