Leave the parking area and head north into the woods. The trail loops just beyond the perimeter of the open area at the center of the park but stays at the top of the slope above the creek. Once beyond the open areas of the park the trail begins to fold around and the "blue loop" splits off. You can take multiple laps on the blue before heading back along a couple of different options to return to the trailhead. Its fun to drop down to the creek and follow it back out to the road and return via a short connector back to the trailhead and picnic shelter.
