Need to Know
100% pure trail running through pristine rainforest.
Temperatures vary, and it can get quite cool in the dense forest.
This race is one of the most incredible routes in the Philippines. Along the way, there are many different types of terrain that runners will overcome. The trail is nearly 100% technical singletrack, as there are only 600m that will follow a paved road. The rest of the trail is comprised of a short bit of dirt farm road, mostly used by locals to bring food to market.
The route is a “lollipop” with a 20km loop attached to 11km where runners will end up running out and back. Along the way, the terrain will alternate between heading through shaded, mossy forests and wide open trails. There will be a total of 5 peaks to summit, and there will also be 5 river crossings. This varied terrain is quite exciting, and runners will cross a “Kawayan” bridge, as well as travel along cliffs and on top of ridges. At the 3rd peak, there will be a rocky scramble required, though this is the most technical aspect of the course.
*Starting Point: 730m (1,168ft) at the Municipal Building, Pangantucan
