The trail boasts a steady fire road climb, surrounded by massive redwoods. This climb gains around a 1,200 feet in 2.8 miles and has an average incline of 8.8%. However, the last part will have sections of 10%+ incline, so save your strength as the end of the trail is definitely a bit tougher to run than the first part.
