The race route utilizes the "B" Loop hiking trail in the Croom tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest. The race offers multiple distance options including ultra distances.
There are technical root sections leaving and coming into the day use area, and short sections of loose sugar sand.
The trailhead starts at the Tucker Hill Day Use Area and travels north across Croom Road and is marked with yellow blazes. The first short section after Croom Road has its fair share of roots. The trail descends until the intersection with the A-B Connector which takes a turn to the right and is marked with blue blazes.
The A-B Connector intersects with the Florida National Scenic Trail (FNST) after about 2.7 miles. The Florida National Scenic Trail is marked with orange blazes and should be followed to the right. After about 2.4 miles, the FNST intersects with the yellow-blazed B Loop Trail which leads to the right.
The yellow-blazed B Loop Trail should be followed for 2.3 miles until the junction with the blue blazed B-C Connector. The B-C Connector runs for 1.2 miles when it joins the yellow blazed B Loop Trail which should be followed to the right. The root-heavy, yellow-blazed B Loop Trail should be followed back to the Tucker Hill Day Use Area to complete the loop.
