“A scenic trail through pine forest along Spruce Creek.
— Craig Daugherty
This trail is generally pretty dry in the summer, but wear aggressively lugged shoes in shoulder seasons.
A steep, but mostly manageable trail. It is a bit rocky and tends to have quite a few downed trees in the spring (as do many trails in this area), until trail crews have cleared them out. I usually run with a folding saw this time of year to clean up what I can.
You can run this trail in winter as well, especially if there has not been a significant snowfall recently. It sees a lot of ski and snowshoe traffic to pack it down.
