According to the Elachee Nature Science Center website on 23 Aug 18, dogs are allowed only on the weekends. They must be leashed at all times. They are not allowed during the week (Mon-Fri) for licensure requirements.
This is valid for all trails in the preserve. Runners should check the website (
elachee.org/plan-your-visit…) for special events that may entail further restrictions.
Runner Notes
Description
This trail is entirely singletrack, going through moderately open woods. While there aren't any views on this trail (or any in the trail complex), the open woods give it a different kind of feel, unlike most of the other trails in North Georgia. For part of this trail, runners will follow near to Walnut and Redwine creeks, and the foliage during the fall is outstanding.
