Runner Notes

Rocks, mud, roots, rock scramble and waterfalls. Hidden gem in a great part of town.

Description

Starting in McLean Gardens, follow Glover-Archibold Trail until you get to a wooden bridge on the right. Takes you through Wesley Heights and to Battery Kimble Trail. After crossing MacArthur, take a right before the waterfall (which you'll climb back up later) and head on the grassy/muddy trail behind a bunch of Palisades houses. This will spit you out at a park, which you duck behind to cross Arizona and across a bike/runnning bridge to the C&O canal. Follow that back to Fletchers Cove. Find the hidden waterfall under Canal Road, slip under the wooden rail and climb the waterfall back to Battery Kimble Trail. Good luck!

Flora & Fauna

Deer, racoons, fox, birds, once saw a coyote, beware of geese on C&O
