Runner Notes

Trail surface is mostly embedded rocks and roots. Wide in most places, easy to pass other users.

Description

This wide, fairly easy trail branches off the main Chautauqua Trail and briefly heads east with a pause for an expansive view of Boulder, before ascending moderate grades.

The trail winds uphill through well-spaced ponderosa pines and affords brief views of Boulder and the Flatirons. This pleasant and shady trail ends at a T-junction, near the southern end of the Bluebell-Baird Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Ponderosa pines, deer, bluebells!
