“Quick run through a less-traveled part of Wildwood with a stunning view of Santa Rosa valley.
— Trail Run Project Staff
Steep start on the Lower Butte trail followed by a leisurely mile (or so) overlooking the lovely Santa Rosa Valley, and finally ending with a quick upward push to Wildwood Ave and back down to the trailhead. What's not to like?
From the Lower Butte trailhead, start up a short, steep incline to the top of the "butte," curving to the left and back down another short, steep section.
The Lower Butte trail ends at a gate and picks up again with the Santa Rosa trail across a gravel access road.
From the Santa Rosa trailhead continue on a nice leisurely singletrack along the north side of Mount Clef Ridge for about a mile. Don't miss the turnoff back to Wildwood Ave.
