A steep trail that takes you by 3 waterfalls.

KC93 Ci

Overview

March through November open.
Features: Cave — River/Creek — Swimming — Views — Waterfall

Runner Notes

Not well-maintained.

Description

Park at the lot and head down below the bridge that you drove across to get in. Take a right under the bridge and follow the Glen Onoko Trail upstream. The trail gets progressively harder as it passes next to the stream and up over eroded embankments. After the third waterfall, there should be a little fire pit. There is also a nice view, but the main attractions are the waterfalls.

You can either follow the switchback down or backtrack down past the waterfalls. Going down by the waterfalls can get dangerous, however.

This trail is not to be taken lightly, but as long as you are careful there should not be too much to worry about. The trail is steep and a few people have even been taken out on stretchers.

Snowy, Icy - Glen Onoko Falls Trail is extremely dangerous during the winter. I advise only expert hikers to do this trek. Very icy.
