“Another scenic, easy section of paved path for anyone wanting a leisurely run.

From the large parking area (with restroom) just off Highway 6, this peaceful path winds through Summit Cove before breaking out into meadow and pine forests as it climbs to Sapphire Overlook. There is a half-mile foot traffic-only trail (Sapphire Point Trail
) around the overlook that is highly recommended.
Soon after the overlook, the separated trail ends and to continue in this direction, you'll run next to Swan Mountain Road for a couple miles until it ends at its junction with Highway 9. The path is separated from the road here, but not as scenic as other parts. Note: bikes are allowed on this trail.
