Point of the Arches and Shi Shi Beach [Suggest Edits]

Working your way out to this spectacular beach is strenuous, but is well worth the effort! You'll have to pass through some mud (even when it's been dry) but isn't that what those big boots are for? Once you've made it through the 2-mile journey to Shi Shi Beach, continue working your way south. The beach itself has a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and is a great place to catch the sunset.

As you continue to head south, you'll be traveling mostly over the sandy beach, so just take your time to enjoy the scenery. With pine forests on one hand and ocean views on the other, you won't want to rush! The Point of the Arches is another excellent place for viewing the sunset, and the sea stacks visible here are a bit mind boggling. With unbelievable shapes, these unique geologic features won't disappoint!

Most visitors prefer to spend the night somewhere along the beach before heading back home, and it's easy to see why! Take you time and enjoy the solitude of this spectacular beach!

All-Day Run: There's an easy though often muddy 2 mile trip to the first beach, but it's closer to 4 miles to get to Point of the Arches.
