Description

This trail climbs up from Community Forest Loop Road #8 to the highest reaches of the community forest and accesses a few trails along the way. At the bottom, it contains a small piece of the Arcata Ridge Trail. Take a right at the first junction with the Ridge Loop Trail #13 to continue on the Arcata Ridge Trail. One could also choose to take #13.5, which makes the rest of the loop, although it doesn't connect up with #13 much. Further along, there is an access trail to Lower Janes Creek Trail #6, which is steep as it crosses the creek, then Upper Janes Creek Trail #7, which is not so much. At the top, the trail makes a little loop with access to Long Loop Trail #17 (runners only).

This trail is very popular with mountain bikes, so be sure to watch for them when it gets narrow at the top. Horses may also use the trail.
