Runner Notes

There are some sections that are subject to flood during the rainy season but most of those areas have alternative routes around them. I would recommend wearing some shoes with lugs for the mud and slippery rocks, but its not required.

Description

This 4 mile loop trail has varied terrain and passes a spring fed creek that empties into a sinkhole. The trail crosses over the horse trail (orange blaze) so be sure to follow the white blaze trail or you may come face to face with an animal 3 times your size. You can do the loop clockwise or counterclockwise, but I personally prefer counterclockwise.

Flora & Fauna

You'll encounter squirrels for sure, but don't count out seeing rabbit or deer. You'll see many Cedar trees and some wildflowers.
