Description

This trail starts off the south side of Lebanon Mountain Road, just past a gate. Head left at the broken staircase and follow the washed out remnants of the old road. It climbs steeply and loosely follows along a brook. After the trail levels out, it reaches a grassy area; make sure to take a right here. The trail that branches off to the left goes for quite a ways; it may reconnect with the trails shown under the OSM layer. It passes by another junction; stay right. It passes through a nice grassy area with Birch Trees, where there may an opportunity for birding. The trail descends following an old road grade.

When you reach the Washout Cut-Off, I would recommend taking it right to finish the loop. While the DCR's map shows the trail descending down to the road, it's just a scramble through a washout back to the broken staircase.
