Description

The Chanterelle Trail is a multi-use trail that is open to ascending bike traffic. From the parking area, it wastes no time starting to climb for a pace that climbs steadily as the benched trail switchbacks just over 1,000 feet above Lake Whatcom to a nice open viewpoint.

The trail isn't technically challenging but the grade can be tiring. Excellent for the whole family (including pets!) and a very short distance from downtown Bellingham.
