Description

This should be a nice trail that allows for a loop hike off of the CDT, but sadly the Forrest Service seems to have given up on this trail. From the top coming off the CDT, there is a trail sign and an obvious trail. Once the trail hits treeline, it goes from being a very lightly used trail with lots of overgrowth, to just the idea of a trail, and then it disappears among the hundreds of fallen trees. It is somewhat workable to bushwhack and log hop down to the valley floor by following the small creek and connecting with Goose Creek Trail. There is no sign at the Goose Creek intersection, making it hard to find this trail if you choose to ascend it from the bottom. Furthermore, you would earn your days calories if you tried to bushwhack up hill.
