Description

Lil Bird, named for its vague bird shape from above, is a well-rounded trail that includes a little bit of everything. The trail begins branching off the Davis Trail Loop, and after a short climb, it follows the side of a ridge before turning west. From here, the trail climbs again, eventually reaching a dry stream bed where it takes a sharp turn back east, running along the other side of the stream bed.

After this, the trail crosses straight across an open field right-of-way, giving runners a short break from the thick tree canopy and a view. The trail almost repeats its last pattern, heading west along a stream before crossing and heading back down on the other side. After this second hairpin turn, the trail heads into a gentle curve around a hill before descending in a steep stretch down to the Affeldt Me Gasline trail.
