Description

The east leg crisscrosses a seasonal stream before gaining a series of switchbacks. Climb through a patch of severely burned forest before reaching the saddle at pt. 7820, where you'll find great views. This branch was re-routed in 2010 to avoid some deeply eroded sections of trail at the bottom of the switchbacks.
