Runner Notes

Just plain fun—this is why we trail run! The terrain is not too tricky, just a fast, narrow singletrack with a good grade for fast downhill without fear of tripping and falling.

Description

This trail is best when running downhill as the twists and turns are great fun! This trail is a connector, so you'll have to put in some work to enjoy this. You can access it either from Bommer Ridge Road or Emerald Canyon Road. It is not a busy trail, as every time I've been on it, I'm the only person on it. So I guess don't break an ankle or get a snake bite, as you'll be there for a while waiting for help!

Flora & Fauna

Typical for SoCal, you'll hear more than see the birds and bunnies and other critters. Watch for snakes, as the Laguna Coast Wilderness and neighboring Aliso Wood Canyon are full of fat rattlers, and they especially love stretching across trails and imitating sticks and branches.
