This trail is a great trail if you are a geology fan. You wind through a huge canyon full of minerals and all kinds of rocks. Though this trail is great as an out-and-back, it's also a pleasant addition to a loop. If you are feeling daring, you can take the Ladder Canyon Trail to its junction with this trail, and then run this one in reverse.

The trail is really easy to run and navigate, but it's very exposed and there is little shade along the way. Make sure you take precautions for the sun. On a normal day, you would be out here for a few hours, so make sure you have everything you would need: water, food, sunscreen/clothes and hats. The sun is no joke here, especially in the summer.
