The Little Run Loop Trail is the perfect option for those looking either to get out for a short loop in nature, or those looking to link up with the High Meadows Trail for an extended journey.

Starting west of the Turkey Run Ridge Parking Area, pick up the yellow-blazed trail behind the Turkey Run Education Center. Follow the trail for a short distance as it meanders through dense hardwood forests on an often leaf-covered tread. Upon reaching an intersection, trend left to experience more beautiful forest until reaching another intersection near a small creek feeding the South Fork Quantico Creek. This time, the trail intersects with the High Meadows Trail. If an extended journey is your desire, trend left (west) onto the High Meadows Trail, otherwise continue on the yellow-blazed Little Run Loop Trail to reach the first intersection described, and the way back to the Turkey Run Ridge Parking Area.
