Description

Starting from the Lower Cathedral Valley Overlook Trail Parking Area, follow the trail as it leads across a flat and up a steep climb to a saddle high above Lower Cathedral Valley, where there is a good view of the Temple of the Sun and a partial view of the Temple of the Moon.

Those wishing to experience a better view of the Temple of the Moon can reach a second saddle by running though washes to a runner-made trail that climbs steeply to the Lower Cathedral Valley East Overlook, sporting better views of the Temples, but offering a less sweeping panorama.
