The Ruth McKenzie Table Mountain Preserve is owned and managed by the Sierra Foothill Conservancy. Access is by permission and for members.

Description

From the trailhead at the gate, follow the dirt road north as it winds its way up through oak woodlands. Be sure to leave all gates and fence crossings as you found them. The road will then come to a T-intersection with an old SJ&E railroad bed.

Turn left and follow to the cattle troughs. Leave the doubletrack and head uphill on the singletrack. The grade will begin to increase, with the steepest section going up onto the table from the saddle. Enjoy expansive views of the High Sierra to the East and the San Joaquin River/Millerton Lake to the West.
