Runner Notes

The tread is mostly very smooth for running, but there are the occasional roots and rocks to watch for. Bikers and hikers are abundant at times.

Description

The Sherwood Forest Trail is the signature trail of the Sherwood Trail Complex. With over 400 vertical feet of elevation change, it is challenging, but the undulating nature of the tread gives ample opportunity to catch your breath. Built and maintained by the local bike club, this is very popular with mountain bikers, so please be courteous and aware. It does have one very nice viewpoint.

Flora & Fauna

Deer, moose, and bear are occasionally seen on the trail. Blue pod lupine is abundant in the spring.
