Need to Know

Parking at the Fragrance Lake trailhead is very small and requires a Discover pass.

Runner Notes

An iconic trail and it's a part of the well-known Chuckanut 50k trail race. This is an excellent climb or descent.

Description

From the trailhead on the Interurban Trail, climb the switchbacks to the first intersection. Take a left for a short trail to a viewpoint. Head right to continue the main trail. After more climbing and switchbacks, you'll encounter the top gate. Continue straight ahead for a short way to the lake. Note that this is an extremely popular trail and you'll likely encounter lots of groups hiking/running on this trail during the weekends. If you are looking to avoid the crowds your best bet would be to go early in the morning or sometime during the middle of the week.
