A great route up to the old railroad grade. The trail is rocky in places, but the views are amazing.

Features Views

WA State Discover Pass is required for vehicles entering the park.

The trail network at Riverside State Park is multi-use. Care should be taken to accommodate other users.

Runner Notes

A bit rocky on the climbs and descent. The views at the top are certainly worth it!

Description

Mostly shaded even in summer months, this route winds through beautiful coniferous forests near the Spokane River. Eventually, visitors will cross the Centennial Trail and climb to join the railroad grade.

This is the section of Trail 25 after it meets the old road bed and is exposed, making it typically warmer. There is less shade along the way, and you'll be able to peek out of the dense tree cover in many places. Enjoy the views!
