Description

This trail starts at Marias Pass along the Continental Divide. The trailhead is a bit tricky to find, but park at the parking lot at Marias Pass and cross to the northwest side of the highway. Head north across the railroad tracks, and work your way along the treeline until you get to the trailhead sign.

From the trailhead, the trail ducks into an older stand of open lodgepole pines. The trail stays fairly monotonous through the trees until it breaks near Three Bears Lake. This gives you great views of the ridgeline that includes Summit Mountain as well as a quaint, marsh-lined lake that is a favorite of waterfowl. From here the trail ducks back into the same kind of forest until it intersects with the Autumn Creek South/ Autumn Creek North Trail.
