Overview

Beautiful wildflowers and magnificent views await the ambitious runner on this trail!

Runner Notes

It's quite rooty and rocky, and is fairly challenging on the ankles!

Description

This run starts at the Moffat Tunnel. Take the South Boulder Creek Trail, which starts off with a nice moderate angle. After a few miles the trail steepens, and you'll encounter some tree roots and rocks to negotiate.

After about four miles, you'll encounter Roger's Pass Lake- a beautiful pristine lake. A short -steep climb brings you to a second lake-Heart Lake. Take a minute or two to take in the scenery here!

Another steep climb bring you to the continental divide with views from Winter Park to Boulder! Enjoy all your hard work as you cruise easily back to the car!
