Description

From the main trailhead, take the path south along the river. This is mostly former rail grade so the trek will be pretty flat. Take your time to view the wildlife along the river and perched up in the trees.

After about a mile, the trail cuts inland to the west, with a moderate elevation increase. After another half mile, you'll come to the intersection with the southern end of the Group Site Trail. Keep going, and the trail will bend to the right heading north. After a half mile, it then crosses the road to Group Campsite #1, and you've reached the end.

Flora & Fauna

Hawks and eagles can be seen, especially along the river where they are often found catching a meal.
